My pump wasn't working as there was something caught in it. It is now working freely but I can't get it to reseal even though it has been carefully cleaned and put together properly. Any advice?
Kenmore Heavy Duty, numbers on plate are 4851070 GB23369, I'm not sure which is the model number. This is an old washer from around 1980.

chances are you don't. The pump was not meant to be taken apart amd resealed, especially one that is 26 years old. A pump for a Kenmore that old will not be very expensive, but if you just insist on trying get you some 2 part epoxy from the automotive parts store and seal it up with that but if you have anymore trouble with it you will not be able to open it up anymore
