how can i stop rcd from tripping out?

the rcd on my consumer unit keeps trippin out when I plug in an 2 bar heater or a jet washer, why does this do it? how can i stop it? can i get a consumer unit without an rcd? all smaller items are ok ie radio, charger. etc etc these can all be plugged and switched on at the same it and the rcd does not trip.

Have you got a spilt load consumer board. This indicates to me it is wrongly wired. Great care must be taken to ensure that each circuit is correctly wired to the correct side of the board. Each side of a split load board has its own earth and neutral block. If you wire the earth or neutral to the wrong side the result will be what you are getting. A radio will not cause a trip as the leakage will be below 30ma. check the final wiring is correct

It indicates there is an unacceptable amount of leakage from live or neutral to earth on your heater and/or jet washer.
Taking out an rcd because it keeps tripping is like replacing a fuse with a nail because it keeps blowing.
