When i switch it on it goes on standby and when i press a channel on the remote it sounds as if its going to go on and then goes straight off again to standby. If i turn the standby off on the remote it goes off and then comes straight back on to standby on its own. can you tell me whats wrong?

Requires a service engineer. Almost always due to a short circuit on transistor Q551. There is a service kit to repair it part number: TZS9EK001.

Expect to pay about £60.00 for the repair if it's the above.
