How can I fix my Worcester oil-fired boiler?

The solenoid valve on the oil pump has failed and I want to replace the coil which I know to be open circuit. The coil (Danfoss 071N0051) is on a Danfoss BFP 11L3 pump. I have removed the nut and shakeproof washer but the coil is tight on the shaft. I can rotate it - there is some resistance to this - but cannot slide it up the shaft. Any suggestions would be received with thanks.

The solution was to leave it overnight with some WD40 around the pillar and to carefully prize it off. These solenoids should come off easily but on examination, this one had burned out near the top and caused it to tighten on the crimp near the top of the shaft.
