how can i fix my lexmark x1100 all-in-one?

where do i find the part that the ink cartridges sit in?

If you have already tried opening the cover while the printer is on but the ink cartridge carrier has not automatically positioned itself in the loading position, unplug the printer from the power source. While the cover is open, hold the white tape found in the middle inside the printer. The other end of it is connected to the cartridge carrier. Gently, slide the carrier to the center. Load your cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to the power source. Hope this helps.
