How can I fix my DS card slot?

My Ds game wouldn't work anymore... After i had saved some data it froze and now still doesn't work.I opened it up today to find the chip.So I cleaned it and that didn't work.Nothing seems wrong with the chip.I really don't no what to do.

Regular DS or DS Lite ? The slot where you insert the game cartridge goes bad frequently on these and must be replaced. This requires soldering and experience.
