Can a wet vhs tape be dried out?

Well I survived hurricane Ivan but had water in my house and lost a lot of vhs tapes and cd,s due to water, I would like to know what can be done to dry these out if possible, I think it was fresh water but maybe brackish, Any ideas.

No, unfortunately I wouldn't think drying them would be at all successful. It would likely result in damage to the video heads on replaying them.
