I have an Ariston Clas He system with an error code of 108?

How do i fix error code 108 on an Ariston Clas HE system?
Geraldine, June 2010
Refilled pressure but still Locked in error code and won’t fire up

Guys if your having to top your pressure up it’s not a good thing too keep topping pressure as you will keep putting oxygenated water in your system which will cause rads to rust internal and cause iron oxide which will destroy your pump and Diverter valve And general blockages

Losing pressure could be

1 leak on system
2 expansion vessel needs pressurising
3 prv leaking caused by over pressurising

Thank you, I turned both black taps either side of the silver braided pipe and the pressure went up. I increased the pressure to 1 bar turned both taps to their original positions and tried the hot tap. It works and I now have hot water.
Thanks again

I opened the black taps underneath that lead to the silver corded pip[es. Then there are tiny grey ones as well which I had to open. The pressure guage shoots up really fast then so be quick to turn the black ones back to off. Then the grey ones. This raised the pressure guage , I made sure this only went to slightly over the 1, which is why you need to turn them off quick. My boiler then started working almost immediately. Hope this helps!

Silly question, but there are two small 'taps' either end, left and right hand sides. My husband usually turns the one on the left to reset the pressure, but can't remember how the tap on the right should be set - open or not. He was distracted so doesn't want to cause any further problems.

Good morning
I don't have code 108 or any code ! But my boiler some times works and sometimes not ,brisith gas been out 16 time's can't find a problem, of course as boiler works each time .
It seems to fire up and comes on for couple second's then off , no hot water or heating. British gas think it me !
It's so intermittent it's unreal . Help please

The yellow tap you don't need to turn , as it's the gas . There will be a braided hose under neath with two aller grey or black knobs , you need to turn them both , so they are facing the same way , fill it to 1 to 1.5 bar when cold , then turn back off . I install this for a living , brill boiler

i got up this morning to the same problem ,lucky for me my plumber left a bleed pipe on mine so only have to open 2 small black levers then the pressure creeps up to around 1.5 bar ,good luck to the rest of you

jacqueline maitland, November 2011
ii follow a he said and works for me too, thanks, but i just open the tiny grey pip and The pressure guage shoots up really fast.

Hi Geraldine, I have had this same problem and after looking on loads of websites realised that the pressure guage had also reduced.
