They are not all the same - some have crank handles some only have a single pulley rope - mine has pulleys each side of the pole and just a single rope
My rope is fixed at the very top of the pole - comes down to the pulley on the rising boss (the bit that goes up and down) then up to a pulley at the top and down to the level of the table and up to the pulley at the top (the other side of a spoke) then down to the pulley on rising boss and finally fixed at the very top but on the other side.
Alternatively - nip down to a local beer garden and see how their parasols are strung.
