How can i remove my parasol from its stand it seems the wooden pole has expanded, i have removed it partially but can go no further

Put stand on bricks

Drill hole through pole close to table top

Fit large screwdriver through hole

Remove bricks

Bash stand in downwards direction

Put wooden slips under screwdriver to protect table
