When I turn on my freeview box it automatically goes to channel 303, when I try to turn it over it keeps turning itself off?

Mine did that just yesterday, (I was using the "red button") and a powercycle made no difference.

I got around it by powering on, and keying 001 on the remote, it then went to BBC1. Might take a few attempts.

I have to say my box (ITD58G) has always been quirky and is the 3rd warranty replacement I've had since the original one locked up during a "install update to maintain fonctionality" message (not a typo)

Freevirew boxes can somethime get their nickers in a twist and the cure is to remove the power. Try disconnecting it from the wall power socket for a while - give it ten minutes. Next restore power to it, go to the menu and do a rescan as though you were installing for the first time.

If this fails and the box is not very old take it back to the retaler. If it s geting on a bit then I suggest you scrap it and buy a new one because Freeview boxes are so cheap now. BTW be careful of TUTV boxes they may soon be obselete
