RCA universal remote programed on our cable service with Emerson TV and need your advise to operate our Sylvania 6260VF properly. Used code 034 from RCA list. VCR works fine, EXCEPT..... when fast forwarding, it cuts off after 10 seconds. Won't go through a whole series of adverisments. Usually have to FF and switch back to play about 8-10 times during an ad segment. I'm seeing on the interrnet a lot of other codes to use, saying a higher numbered code may work better. So do you have any recommendations? I'd appreciate it- before I start playing around with it, and chances of making a big mess.
