I have full picture but no sound. The remote control also stopped working at the same time as the sound going. The casing buttons are working and volume display on the screen is corrupt.
Have tried an universal remote but no luck in getting the tv to accept it.
Anyone any ideas on a fix for it please?

No secontary power on the Suply.
The led is off.
Capacitors are OK.
Primary is OK.

To help anyone else .. I've fixed the problem.

Replaced the AV board and both the sound and remote control working OK now.
