I have a crack in the screen going from the camera in a arc to the right hand side of the screen.Acer have fought me every step of the way and have rather funnily tried to make out that i had installed software that had caused the crack! PMSL!. it took 2 phone calls and more than 30 minutes to get them to finally admit that it more than likely is a fault that was already present when i bought the laptop. what a bunch of muppets...plus i could hardly understand the acer rep which made getting my point through twice as hard. stick well away from acer support if you can. has anyone got any hints or tips on dealing with them?.

Stay well clear of ACER. Their support service is rude and unhelpful. My laptop was sent to a wrong address after a warranty "repair" (that didn't fix the problem). When I rang to complain after finding this out from the delivery company, asking where's my laptop, ACER guy was so rude to me and accused me of purposely giving a wrong address to ACER and said that it was my fault! Why would anyone give them an incorrect address?? I had many more bad experiences with ACER

i can say now T that im trying via letter to get the retailer to repair the laptop at no cost to myself. They have refused my first request to repair the laptop. They have given me two options on repairing the laptop of which the minimum cost is £199.99. - I did'nt cause the screen crack so i don't see why i should pay for it!.

If you are in the UK, in law Acer have no responsibility for your problem whatsoever. Your contract was and is with the retailer. You should have gone back the place you bought it under the Sale of Goods Act.
