i take that the square hole where the spindle goes through has shattered. is there another hole above this one as some locking mechanisms have two? the bottom one is for lever/lever operation, the top one is for lever/pad operation. if this is the case you can open the door using this one and then you can change the locking mechanism. you will probably only need to change the central gearbox, the name of the lock will be stamped on the lock strip.if this is not the case then you may need to cut the hinges off and you can gather what that entails.
