how can i fix my hotpoint wf561p washing machine?

The drum fills with water but does not spin, the motor is free and the belt is good?

hi, the washing machine will not drain properly, stopped through cycle and overflowed when tried to re-start... cannot figure out how to get it to drain. Maybe blocked somewhere? any info much appreciated! thanks
