Zanussi ZT 455 dishwasher - heating element?

Programme cancel button works.

Other programmes seem to fill with water, dispense soap, some water circulates and then stops.

I suspect heating element is not working, but where do I go from there (how test and/or replace)?

Cheers if you know

if you take the metal bit off below the door you wil see the terminals for the heater on your left.around 25ohms.These models get blocked up in the sump syphon tubes.when you take the dinner plate filter out from inside the dishwasher you will see a domed bit on your right with a screw in the centre.remove the screw.pull the plastic top up and then 1 by 1 pull the blue syphon tubes out and rinse them in HOT water.if you lay the dishwasher on it BACK you will see hoses connected to the cream coloured plastic sump.blow down all these pipes 1 by 1.reassemble and test
