Baxi fires up when cold water run?

Hi M8s
My friend has a new baxi combi that fires up for a few seconds when the cold tap is run is this normal in this type of boiler.

perfectly normal combi boilers heat the cold water instantaniosly so there is no cylinder for hot water .
as you turn on tap the boiler fires to heat the water, turn off the tap the boiler stops
