Wallpaper shrinking and bubbling?

Due to a small ceiling leak about a year ago a piece of wallpaper curled and dropped from one corner. I read just brush with wallpaper paste and re-stick, the only trouble is I now have a stuck back on piece of wallpaper and despite lots of smoothing when damp it has bubbling in the middle where it curled over and so is now a few millimetres short of the edge of the ajoining piece of wallpaper.

How can I get it to meet up with the adjoining wallpaper?

Dear Wallpaper Worries
I would try wetting the paper again and carefully prise away from the wall again, apply past to the wall and paper allow to soak in a bit re-apply, if you see a gap while still wet, try to stretch the paper to close the gap up.
