you will not be able to get back your files, but you can get your player back to how it used to be like when you first bought it plus a little enhanced software on it.
go to the samsung website and select your find your player.
once you find your player, look on the right side of the screen for the firmware files.
follow the instructions and it will update your player with all the new improvements.
