How can I fix my Hoover, Six 1200, washer/dryer?

Hi

Our washer/dryer has recently started making a lot of noise when onthe spin cycle. It is a kind of grating noise. I noticed last week that clothes are still very wet when the cycle has finished.
I checked the spin cycle and it doesn't rev up- the drum is rotating slowly all the way through the spin cycle.

Does anyone know what the likely problem is and how I could go about fixing it?

Thankyou very much inadvance for any help you can offer.

Warmest regards

Claire

it is probably your carbon brushes on the motor. the motor is located at the botom on the back of the machine
