we have a sony automatic stereo turntable system ps-lx46p the belt has come off but is not broken how do you put it back on

Most turntables have holes under the turntable rubber mat.
You remove the turntable (may or may not have a circlip in the centre holding it on and if so you would have to remove this first). Fit the belt around the inner rim of the turntable and using the holes attach the belt to the motor pulley and replace mat and test. If alright refit circlip.
