Why do my conservatory roof panels slip and will i be insured??

My conservatory is only 8 years old but several of my roof panels which are plastic slip down by a few inches, Ive pushed them back up but 1 is stuck solid, why does this happen and is there anything to say to the insurance which will make me insured??

Speak to DGCOS the new ombudsman for the conservatory industry. www.dgcos.org.uk, they should be able to advise you especially as you still have a guarantee.

Check with the conservatory insurers if you had one with it [10yrs cover] or house insurance but they may only cover storm damage, not bad construction which is sounds like to me. You can prevent slip by clear mastic on the top end or sides

I'll put you in the picture with the so called 10yr cover on my six yr old conservatory in my opinion the paper it's printed on is worth more than the insurance cover. £40 excess on all claims below roof £80 for roof and it does not cover the external door and lock handles which are shedding their plastic coating as its classed a 'Manufacturing fault' So in my opinion if same as mine you haven't much chance but phone and see.
