Picture is shrinking?

While watching TV the picture will start to shrink on the screen from the top and the bottom. However, if I move the coax cable coming into the back of the TV it restores the picture to full size. Are there different sizes of Coax and do I have one that is too small or do the inlets on the back of the TV wear out?

The fault is most likely due to dry soldered joints to the frame output IC or associated circuit.

Moving the co-ax plug is simply flexing the printed circuit board, causing the bad connection to make and break, in a completely unrelated part of the TV. It's just on the same board and the mechanical movement is showing it up.

A frame fault is usually very simple and cheap to fix.

However, straining the aerial socket could result in a very expensive tuner repair. So it's best not to move that around any more. As thats not where the actual fault is.
