how do you adjust the gas and air mixture as the boiler is making a trumpeting noise

Thanks carefree! was just looking around for possible solution to the f1 fault on our boiler when i saw your advice. i must say it was on point. we use the flexicom 24cx and it says on it, that if the boiler displays an f1 what we need to do is reset it but that didn't work after several resets. Apparently, the display on the gas meter didn't show it was on,so i followed your instruction and it started working.

i had an f1 fault on flexi com 30 had been in and running fine for 18 months, after checking inlet gas, condense, ignition all okay. found not enough gas be let out of gas valve (gas and air mixture on the gas) adjusted gas valve to let more gas in fired up straight away????

Does the F1 fault occur due to lack of gas pressure?

First port of call, make sure the gas is on and available, if you have a pre-payment meter make sure it says 'ON' on the display, if it is a credit meter make sure the main tap is on.

It then goes down to ignition faults dependant on status ie: not firing/firing then extinguishing, can be a number of things including possible condense blockage.
