my machine is not spinning very fast and clothes are still soaked?

i have a servis - gem 800 automatic machine and i really cant afford to pay out for repairs, any ideas as to what could be wrong as i dont mind trying to repair myself. i have 2 young kiddies and really need my washer up and running!

your machine cant spin at full speed till all the water has been pumped out,sounds like some coins stuck in pump,first try to open drain plug at front of machine,and remove debris,or remove waste pipe from under sink and try to blow clear.
