fruit juice got inside the camera. I was at disney land at the time there was no place to take it. I used alcohol t clean the out side around the power switch and the eject button. The camera was at first going nuts. after letting it air out and cleaning what I could it worked good. I took out the batt and cleaned in there good. At first we thought it was water from one of the rides. But I had put it inside of a plastic bag to protect it. There was also a fruit juice in the bag and it got a small leak. The eject button is very very hard to use it feels like it is going to break off. Or it feels like only the outside button is moving but not letting it release inside the camera. I figure some of the sugar from the juice has now turned hard and sticky. Sony Digital Mavica uses 3.5" disk & movie camera

I clean keyboards with water - put them in the sink and run water over them and perhaps use an old tooth brush to scrub a little. Perhaps this would work on a gentler scale with the camera. It is important to let it dry thoroughly, I tend to use the sun as we are having a drought but hair dryers also work (but not too hot!). I learned this trick from an IT person years ago. Alcohol sounds a bit drastic but many people seem to turn to it.
