How can I fix my 7 " Polaroid dvd portable player pdv-0700?

I have a 7" Polaroid dvd player pdv-0700. The Screen turns half white and half black when it is turned on. How can this be fixed?

I don't have answer but we have the same model and the exact same problem. On our trip this month it worked fine on the plane, then the next time we turned it on the screen was half white, half blank, but sound was intact. Please help!
