I want to try and recover some photos that I deleated on my sd card.There is some software that came with the camera but I cant find what section it comes under.Any ideas welcome or is there another piece of software I can download and use(preferently free)

Yes there are lots of free apps out there if you google "recover photos" you can take your pick.
