How do you get rid of the white screen, when there is suppose to be a desktop picture, I have tried everything, help?

Right-click the desktop and sellect "Properties"
On the "Desktop" tab, make sure that, at least, you actualy have a walpaper sellected.

Maybe the image sellected is in fact solid white... or a very small one, maybe a single pixel. Try chosing another one.

Install one of those and do a full scan.

First check your monitor and video card, whether the connection is loose, if not, maybe the problem is in the video card driver, then try to update your video card http://www.pcdriverhelper.com/Video+Card.html
