Ariston Margherita 2000 -when set to a Spin cycle the cycle works perfectly. When set to a wash cycle the machine fills with water and collects the detergent correctly, then it goes to a drain cycle and the program dial starts turning round . The red program light flashes as though the program is completed.
There are no blockages, you can blow though the waste pipe up to the drum. Besides during the cycles the drain step is performed correcly (if too early on the wash)

Hi I just had the same prob, got that part and fitted it - to get the old part off, remove the front part of the dial (the know you see and use/turn) - u can just pull it off - hard. Then unscrew the screw u see, then lift and pull out the old timer and fit the new one..
unfortunately this did not fix the problem for me! Any ideas anyone?

Hi just got the same problem. Sounds like the mechanical timer. Prt No: 064555 ELBI 16651 about £20 off the net. Trouble is fitting the thing looked easy but have to take out the top front panel I think. Just can't get it out..Any ideas anyone..
