How can I make lens go in?

Fuji Finepix 5.1 lens will not go in and it makes whirring noise.

Sounds like the drive gear for the lens is damaged. The whirring is the motor spinning. Some teeth on one or more cogs on the gear are broken. Replace drive gear from donor camera
