focus error on my fuji finepix f450?

My fuji finepix F450 camera is showing a focus error, working fine just before, hasn't been dropped or mistreated in any way. unfortunatly its just out of warranty, is there anything that i can do.?

I have the same problem with a Fuji F420.
Focus error indication and the lens remain to the out position.

was doing a search on this very same thing and found your posting. Is your lens stuck in the out position as well? Let me know if you've found a solution.
