when I turn on my siren 512 mp3 player it says searching for song files and than it like freezes and doesnt do anything else, I can't even turn it off I have to take the battery out. any ideas whats wrong with it?
mine did the same thing. this is what tech support told me to do. take the battery out and leave it out for 45 min. this should reset the player. if not. If you plug in the usb cable will it respond? if so go to my computer right click on the player port and click reformat. this will erase everything on the player. this corrected the searching for files problem but now i can't get it to download new songs. so i am still working on that part. sorry it wasn't all the help you needed but it is a start. hopefully i can get a hold of them tomorrow.

Same friggen issue. I erased everything and put it all back on there, that worked but the next time I put music on it (I bought a 2 gig SD card for 40 bucks) it acted up again and I can't fix it.

This is not an answer, my apologies. My Siren mp3 player just did the same thing as yours. I'm going to try to reformat it and see if that fixes the problem. I'll let you know. If you've fixed yours, please let me know.
