Whenever I turn on my ps2 it starts to make this weird buzzing noise, it almost sounds like when the cd thingy turns its rubbing on something. It also takes forever to load a game and when i finaly get a game loaded (about 10 minutes later) it will only play parts of the game. I cleaned the lense and im not sure what to do.

(its not the slim version and i think its a earlier model)

my boy has the old ps2 and it had this problem so i opened it up hoovered out the dust greased up the two rails the laser runs on (sonys grease dries up with dust) tweaked the laser using a tiny philips tested discs while tweaking put it backtogether and my boys played it now for over a year no problems if this doesnt work buy a slim ps2 (keep the receipt !)

never mind i fixed it, i had to lube the rail that the laser sits on.
