I'm having a problem unscrewing my lavamat 16850 drain pump to clean it. ?

it turns and a top cap comes off. Inside a pink plastic cover which has no visible means of pulling out or removing...what am I doing wrong please???

the bit that turns and has come off in your hand is ment to pull the other bit out BUT if you haven't checked the filter for a while it gets stuck inside the filter.you have to prise the pink bit out and somtimes you have to break them to be able to remove them!!!
