radiator?

cold rad i have bled it but dont seem to get any air outshould this be done hot or cold

One more thing, if you have water when bleeding the radiator then the problem may not be air. Try turning off the other radiators and forcing the heat to the one which is cold and then carefully balance the system using the radiator valves (opening each one a little at a time)

Just to mention, one of the valves should have a (tamper proof) lock shield top and should just pull off.
Turn on/off the valve using an adjustable spanner on the flat edged spindle under the lock shield top

1.Check that both the rad valves are open.
2.Push a needle or similar through the small hole where the pin is located for the air bleed, to see if it is clear (sometimes painted over.) Do this whilst it is cold and without the system being on. have a bucket ready to catch any water when you take out the pin completley and should you drop or lose the pin for any reason switch off the radiator valves till you find it.
