Hitachi C24W1TN Switches off & on as it likes!?

Normally happens on switch on; it goes into standby and then back - sometimes only once or twice, sometimes repeatedly for several minutes. Screen often 'hourglasses' and flickers too. Once warmed up, it normally works fine, but occasionally switches off for a moment. How can I fix this?

You'll need an engineer.

Fault symptoms are very often due to dry joints to two regulators fitted on the central heatsink. (The one that I find is nearly always dry jointed is IC951 at centre of board, but occasionally it's partner too).

HT should be checked for correct and stable voltage.

Usually a quick and cheap repair, if the HT is stable.
Ask for an estimate.
