Fixing Creative Zen Touch - Left in rain?

After a very drunken night I managed to leave my leather satchel outside in the rain all night in which was my Creative Zen Touch - now broken. Since the bag was leather i dont think the player was dretched (i.e there's no water under the screen) but certainly exposed to moisture and isn't turning on. (I've since read that I shouldnt have attempted to turn it on before it dried out...)

My warranty is long gone so i was wondering if there's anyone who's had the same problem and if theres anything i can do to fix the player.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

The reason they say not to turn it on before its dried out is that water inside can short out the circuit and possibly burnout some of the conductive tracks on the circuit board. If this has happend then its dead and beyond repair without profesional help. However I'd suggest leaving it somewhere warm and dry for a couple of weeks then go back and try it again. I've had 2 mobile phones (not exactly the same as an mp3 player but similar) that I've had submerged in water. Neither of them worked for 2 weeks then after sufficient time to dry they started working again.
