gu10 50w halogen replacement?

I have two sets of spotlights in kitchen.have just
changed the bulbs to gu10 low voltage ones.One set
works great the other set one bulb flashes on and off
when switched off at switch.replaced with halogen and they go out what is the answer

gu10 are not low voltage bulbs,they are mains voltage,they are low wattage,i.e 35 50.
