Dark picture?

Ok, so I found a TV. About 27" looks like, JVC model, pretty nice, relatively new TV. But it was going to be trashed, so something had to be wrong. And it's the picture. I spent quite a while attempting to adjust the picture, but to no avail. It's very dark, and the brightness is turned to full. I was just wondering if there was any way to salvage this magnificent find.

Your best bet is to take it to your local TV repairer, plonk it on his bench, tell him the pictures dark and would he mind just checking if the screen (G2) cutoff adjustment is set correctly, or advise you if there is a fault.

If you're really lucky and it's simply adjustment, then it shouldn't cost too much. Ask for an estimate.
