My dishwasher has suddenly stopped working! when switched on the panel illuminates, and I can scroll through the programmes, but when I close the door nothing happens. No bleep, swishing of water, nothing at all. The door switch is operating OK, but i am not sure what to check for next. Any ideas would be welcome.

it turned out to be a blown solenoid in the soap dispenser. £45 from ukwhitegoods.co.uk for the complete unit and lots of advice.
