I need to attache the pendeulum on my Hefele grandfather clock?

I have a grand father clock and need to reattach the pendeulum.

I assume the pendeulum top has a flexi spring steel bit which is topped out with a small brass end rivitted onto the flexi steel .

Take the hood off the clock and open the door. feed the pendeulum into the body of the clock.

Looking to the back of the mechanism there should be a long rod (2-3 inches) with 90 degree bend in it the short bent bit has an oblong slot.
Feed the spring steel bit through the slot and then immediatly above there should be a slot fixed to the back plate of the clock that accommodates the fixed uppermost part of the pendeulum.

I guess that clocks will vary a bit but I hope this gives you the idea
