How can i clean a laptop keyboard that has had a drink spilled on it?

My laptop keyboard was covered in a glass of wine that spilled. I mopped it up as fast as I could but some keys are now malfunctioning. any ideas on how to clear the residue. its a Dell Inspiron laptop.

Try removing the keyboard (a fiddly job) and then dunking it under water for a minute or two.

I've done it several times and it cleans it like a treat!

Then dry it thoroughly (in the sun or in an airing cupboard) before replacing it.

Hi jenny

If the keys are just sticking, you can prise them off gently with something like a knife, fork, screwdriver, etc. then clean under them. just don't take too many off in one go otherwise you'll have a buggar of a job remembering where they went!!
