How old is it? I have had something similar with mine and when I took the circuit board out I noticed that the date of manufacture was exactly five years ago nearly to the day. I think that they may be programmed to go wrong after five years. I have had an independant engineer out who said that only Hotpoint can reprogramme it and they charge £120 just to plug it in. Arghhhh
