Matsui DTR 1 - why not working after being turned off for 3 hours?

My Matsui DTR 1 had to be turned off for approx 3 hours for decorating purposes - had been working fine until then. Now all that I have is a flashing red light and a "ticking" noise coming from inside. Please can you tell me what i can do to rectify this or has the fact that i disconnected it fatally damaged it? Many thanks. S Hancock

Same problem, I have repaired mine, but the fault may not be identical.
D703 on the power supply circuit (33v Zener) had failed. (not helped by R172 being fitted as a link I think, take that up with matsui design engineers!).
Do not attempt to fix this if you do not understand the dangers of mains electricity as components inside are dangerous!, however If you know any friendly electronics engineers then they will fix this for you if you ask nicely!!
