Fisher& Paykel GWL10U2 (eco smart) wash machine?

Years of dependable service ended with our FP model GWL 10U2 eco smart wash machine not pumping out its water and an audible beeping and wash progress lights spin, rinse, & wash remaining lit. Selecting "diagnostic mode" as per FP service summary reveals no default codes. Checked (removed) drain pump for obstruction-(none noted) pump spins freely, checked diverter valve-no obstruction, replaced with new one just in case, checked for plug in discharge hose (to sink) no problem. Drain pump test in diagnostic mode turns pump on and recirculates water back into machine not to sink. Seems diverter valve is not recieving signal to drain wash machine there-by stopping any further washing progress. Possible motor controller module problem????????

Further to this problem, I have thought about it again. The divertor is in the off or normal position when it pumps out to drain. To recirculate the water, power is applied to the wax motor solenoid which heats up, expands & pushes valve over to divert side. When power is removed from solenoid then wax cools (3 min) then moves back to drain position. Therefor in diagnostic mode pump test there should be no power from the controller to the solenoid. Maybe you could test that with a meter.

Maybe you have put new divertor valve in wrong. Check by starting wash cycle & when pump starts for recycling water up in to bowl, look where water is going. If it now flows out to the sink then the hose connections on the divertor need swapping over. If it still pumps water up in to bowl then ok. Double check divertor to make sure valve is free to move from one side to the other. If it still won't pump out to drain then yes maybe the controller is faulty. Just make sure you are waiting long enough before testing pump out to drain. Divertor valve needs about 3 minutes for it to move back to drain out position after operating in the recirculating mode.
