lock off tv sound?

can you lock off the volume on a panasonic tv my aged mother in law keeps turning up her sound and it is annoying the neighbours. there,s nothing in the menu section

If the headphone socket knocks out the main speaker plug a small speaker / amp into that socket, set volume and remove control knob.
Maplin might be able to help with bits reqd.

yes already done that and got her headphones but she wont use them just wondered if there was any other way to lock off sound at a set level

Is there a head phone socket? It may cut off the speakers but still allow MIL to listen!
