Baxi 105e?

British gas are telling me i need to fit a magnabooster and a hydroflow for the princely sum of £351.

as i am not a heating or plumbing engineer is this advice correct or just a scam.

this is my point, the boiler was recently powerflushed, although not by BG and on the recent inspection the sludge issue was not reported, the engineer suggested i should buy these items, my question "is this a scam" is still valid, the price is what it is i wouldnt just pay it but would look for quotes.

so do i need these items.

You could buy a hydroflow on e bay and fit yourself to cut cost for £60

If you have had problems concerning sludge/scale in the domestic heat exchanger, then fitting these items can help, future prevention is better than cure.

The price is what they have quoted, if you don't like the price, look elsewhere.

You could continue without these items, but be prepared to stump up for a new DHE every few years if your system is currently sludged.
