How to fix Daniel Dakota chiming mantel clock?

I have a larger Daniel Dakota mantel clock that plays the Westminster chime. Model # 7251436726.

The past few months I've had to replace the battery for the timing mechanism more and more often. Now it will not keep correct time even with a new battery in it (running slow). It's hooked with wires to the chime part, so I'm wondering if it is even possible to replace the timing part (chime works fine). Also, I don't think that this is even something I'd be able to do myself. It seems the company that makes it is no longer in business. Not sure what I should do next. I really like the look of the clock and would love to get it running again. Any suggestions? Thanks.
